Nature Landscape

This is the first independent project of the semester. After being influenced by the fauve movement I decided to do a nature landscape with watercolor. This piece was inspired by Anne Garney who is a fauve landscape artist. The mountains and the sky especially are my most favorite parts in this work. The water was quite difficult to get it to look the act of flowing or motion but I think it turned out pretty well. Overall I really enjoy this piece.

  1. I think that this is one of your best pieces. The landscape itself is awesome, but the colors are what makes it. I love the orange-red contrast against all the trees. This is gorgeous.

  2. I love the shading you did in the the mountains and how the sky contrasts against the light mountains! This is definitely your best so far.

  3. You're really getting creative with your landscapes, and here that creativity was very successful! I love the complementary colors, they're very eye catching, and you did a great job on the mountains!
